The Peace Tower

The Peace Tower is the centre piece of Canda's Parliement Buildings. It was named in commemoration of Canada's commitment to peace. On the third floor is the Memorial Chamber, built in honour of Canadians who have died in armed conflicts. The 92.2 metre tower also contains an observation area and Corillon, which houses 53 bells (weighing from 4.5kg to 10,090kg).

Capital Cats

One of the quirky features of Parliment Hill is the Cats of the Hill sanctuary. As you can read on the poster explaining this cause, many wildlife are thriving in the heart of Ottawa thanks to the dedication of each volunteer.

Ottawa Conference

Here's the gang at the Parliment House Reception. The 2006/2007 exchange teachers come from a varitey of countries, for example, Australia, Switzerland, France and UK. It was great to catch up with everyone, comparing stories and experiences from our 'Northern Exposure'.
