Here's another addition to my learning the 'Canadian Way', my very first curling tournament or Bonspiel. The aim of the game...starting from the 'hack' and 'delivering' your 'rock' down the 'sheet', passing the 'hogline' and finishing in the 'house'. Got all that??? There are four people on a 'Rink', consisting of a 'Skip', third, second and lead (see 2nd photo). I played in the 'front end', until our second match when I was promoted to 'Skip'. When not delivering, I was 'sweeping', listening to my 'Skip' and their instructions as to when and at what pace to 'sweep'.
