Just Chillin' Out!

One of the many highlights of the Winter Carnival is the Ice Hotel. Situated just half an hour out of Quebec City, people pay anything from $200 per night to sleep at this frosty palace. Each year the hotel is rebuilt and of original design. Not everything was ice though. Included in your accomodation package is a spa/sauna, fireplace, and thermal sleeping bags. Although we didn't stay the night, just visiting for the day gives you an idea of the type of icy expereince you'd be in for. So after touring the chapel (Yes, you can get married here), hotel rooms, kids playroom, nightclub and formal entry it was time for us to warm up from the inside out. At the bar, drinks are served in ice glasses (no washing up), and whatever your drink of choice they have it. And thankgod, because all extremities were losing any sign of feeling.
